General Update #322 - Sunday, February 28, 2021
Dusty arrived to farmhouse ~9:38 a.m. after picking up supplies for farmhouse.
9:40 a.m. - Joyce found in bathroom, lights off, using toilet. Urinary incontinence. Remainder of urine passed. Diaper and pad replaced. Evidence Joyce had taken herself to bathroom at least twice since Dusty departed last night - evidence of bowel movement, Dusty assisted in cleaning Joyce up.
Joyce has no recollections of being out of her chair so far today. Joyce cannot recall having nightmares.
Joyce declined PT walk, citing fatigue. Joyce unsure where she was, had to be reminded she was in her farmhouse. Joyce did not know which way to go to return to her recliner.
9:54 a.m. - BP 160/82, pulse 76. BGL @ 122.
10:20 a.m. - Morning medication with nutritional shake.
10:28 a.m. - Breakfast (chocolate chip muffin, avocado toast, 1/2 can peaches). Joyce ate very slowly, finishing by 11:40 a.m.
Joyce began napping after breakfast.
12:33 p.m. - Joyce woke herself up from napping. Joyce did not remember Dusty was in the house. Joyce confused, did not remember breakfast or anything that happened so far today prior to waking. Joyce expressed concern that she had not been fed. Dusty reviewed morning events and meal eaten. Joyce remembered the chocolate chip muffin but nothing else.
Joyce declined all offers for bathroom trips throughout early afternoon.
2:58 p.m. - Enrichment activity - laundry folding. Joyce attempted to hide towels next to her recliner "in case she needed them."
Joyce resumed napping off and on, citing fatigue.
Joyce continued to decline all offers for bathroom trips.
4:39 p.m. - Joyce capitulated to going to bathroom. Urinary incontinence. Early bladder release. Remainder of urine passed. Diaper and diaper pad replaced. Old diaper pad had folded in half (most likely from Joyce shifting around in her recliner) and adhered itself to her thighs. Bandaging on her left hip/pelvic wound was replaced after wound cleaned, polysporin applied. Bathroom sanitized. PT walk declined, citing fatigue.
4:55 p.m. - Joyce returned to recliner and stretched out to nap. Dusty departing farmhouse to purchase additional supplies from Moscow and run errands.
5:55 p.m. - Dusty returned to farmhouse. Joyce asleep in her recliner as she had been left.
5:58 p.m. - BP 123/63, pulse 63. BGL @ 108
6:22 p.m. - Evening medication administered.
6:24 p.m. - Dinner (Mac & cheese, watermelon cubes, sweet potato fries). Joyce kept falling asleep throughout meal, ate very slowly when she would eat. Dinner finished by 8:39 p.m. Sweet potato fries declined. All other food items eaten.
Joyce declined bathroom trip, took off her glasses and started to sleep.
9:52 p.m. - Bathroom trip without incident. Urine passed. Joyce nearly lost her balance twice. Joyce not following verbal directions well, pulled off her bandaging over her hip/pelvic wound. Dusty applied barrier cream to cover the wound for tonight. Joyce returned to recliner by 10 p.m.
10:03 p.m. - Joyce stretched out to sleep. Dusty departing farmhouse ~10:15 p.m.

Joyce extremely sleepy all day. When she was awake and communicating, Joyce mostly disoriented or confused about where she was or what was happening. Joyce did register that she was sleeping a lot in the late afternoon and became momentarily concerned she was sleeping away her day, then resumed sleeping.
