9:34 a.m. - Enrichment activity (folding laundry).

10:05 a.m. - Joyce soiled herself in her recliner (type 5 bowel movement). Shoes removed and sterilized. Joyce physically resisted against shower, smearing fecal material onto Dusty. Joyce showered and changed into fresh clothes. Weighed at 157 lbs.

11 a.m. - Carol arrived to visit, informing Dusty of date and time that Christmas with Loyal will occur. Departed soon afterward.

11:13 a.m. - Joyce returned to recliner, setup for Epsom salt foot soak and continued with folding laundry as enrichment activity. Lidocaine patch and Tiger Balm patch applied to Joyce's back and knee respectively.

12:23 p.m. - Began process of getting compression stockings put onto Joyce. Joyce continually passed out during this process. Joyce surreptitiously removed and discarded her Tiger Balm patch at some point and was not caught by Dusty until later on.

12:45 p.m. - Lunch (6 pieces of chicken and roasted garlic ravioli). 2 Tylenol. Joyce stated that she was not hungry. Dusty coerced her to begin eating.

12:58 p.m. - Lunch paused as Joyce soiled herself (type 6 bowel movement) in her recliner. Joyce moved to bathroom for cleanup. Joyce passed remainder of bowel movement (type 6) and then showered again. Joyce returned to recliner ~1:44 p.m. Lunch reheated and resumed. Lunch abandoned shortly after, Joyce stated that she was not hungry and could not eat the ravioli (stating it was too "hard for her to chew" - Dusty determined she was meaning the chicken pieces in the pasta). Dusty offered to prepare alternatives but Joyce declined them all. Joyce began napping off and on through the afternoon.

Joyce woke once and expressed concerns about having the family over for the holidays. Dusty asked for an explanation and Joyce stated that she could not recall what she makes for breakfast for Christmas morning. Dusty reminded her that she always makes her Christmas rolls. Joyce panicked as she could not recall how to make them. Dusty worked on calming Joyce, reminding her that he and Jess have the correct recipes for them after many years of detective work and spying on her secret methods and would be out to assist on Christmas Eve and early Christmas morning to help prep things. Joyce eventually calmed and returned to napping.

4:13 p.m. - Lesland called to visit with Joyce, who was asleep. Dusty provided brief update to Lesland about what had occurred to Joyce in June and provided a general update since. Dusty will attempt to have Joyce call Lesland later on during the week when Joyce is in the correct mindset.

4:19 p.m. - Joyce struggled with an unproductive coughing fit.

4:26 p.m. - Bathroom trip without incident. Urine passed. Wound cleaned and fresh barrier cream applied. PT walk to living room before returning to recliner.

Joyce requested an enrichment activity. Dusty began bringing up Christmas decorations from storage for Joyce to sort out and prep for display. Joyce excited to begin decorating the farmhouse for Christmas. Joyce had moments where she could recall who had made her some decorations and others that Dusty had to recall for her. Joyce reflected on Olinda Britton, who had gifted her one year with this particular decoration that has always been put up since (though Joyce cannot recall if it was given direct to her or as a gift during an Estes Club Christmas gift exchange):

Joyce stated she was feeling hungry ~6:30 p.m. and Dusty began preparing dinner. Joyce continued unpacking Christmas decorations and setting up things around the house.

6:51 p.m. - Craig stopped by to visit and have a donut. Craig thinks that he might be finished with fall work in the near future thanks to the good break in weather that has been occurring lately. Craig departed shortly after finishing his donut to head home.

7:12 p.m. - Bathroom. Urinary incontinence and mystery mucous-like discharge (brown) in diaper pad insert (toward front). Diaper pad insert replaced. Wound cleaned and fresh barrier cream applied. PT walk to living room. Joyce informed Dusty she is quite cranky because she is hungry. Dusty reminded Joyce he has dinner in the works.

7:34 p.m. - Dinner (chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes). Dinner finished by 8:25 p.m.

8:26 p.m. - Evening medication and nutritional shake.

8:30 p.m. - Joyce panicked about violence displayed on television (NCIS episode) and expressed displeasure at alternative (Christmas shows) options Dusty provided - she wanted Christmas movies but could not articulate what she wanted, expressed extreme disinterest in any Christmas/holiday themed shows and both wanted to watch Christmas films she had seen before but also did not want to watch ones that "weren't any good." Dusty eventually got Joyce to agree to watching a Christmas movie on Netflix.

9:07 p.m. - Joyce given a Claritin to help treat her nasal drip and cough.

9:28 p.m. - Joyce reported that Claritin helped her nasal drip and cough. Made ready for bed. Joyce soon sat up and decided she wanted to stay up and color. Joyce set up her coloring tray and set to work on her coloring book.

Dusty departing farmhouse ~9:55 p.m. Jess arriving tomorrow morning to provide care for Joyce.

Joyce had sneezing fits throughout the day (multiple sneezes in a row), intermittent nasal drip, and coughing fits.
