Dusty arrived to farmhouse ~8:20 a.m. after COVID-19 testing at UI Student Recreation Center. Found Joyce rolled forward in her recliner with forehead on her knees, without oxygen line in place. Joyce was disoriented and confused. Dusty started breathing exercises with Joyce to get her oxygenated.
8:22 a.m. - Dusty intercepted scam phone call to farmhouse's landline from a "Maryanne" asking Joyce to donate money toward the Women's Cancer Center Fund charity. Dusty returned to working on breathing exercises with Joyce.
8:26 a.m. - Robocall to farmhouse intercepted.
8:28 a.m. - Vitals taken. BP 183/105, pulse 76. BGL @ 139.
8:30 a.m. - Nutritional shake and morning medication (Carvedilol, Metformin, 2 Tylenol, potassium, iron, multivitamin).
8:32 a.m. - Craig arrived to visit, asked about harvesting grapes to make grape juice and if Dusty knew if there was going to be a heavy frost this weekend. Dusty checked weather via internet sources and conclusion was no frost currently set to happen this weekend on the Palouse. Craig stated he would prefer to wait on harvesting the grapes until there is a light frost but wanted to get them cut from the vine and into the farmhouse if there was going to be a heavy frost this weekend. Dusty wasn't aware that was something the family wanted to attempt this year as it can be labor intensive and time consuming process. Dusty confirmed he can start cleaning and staging the supplies and racks for processing the grapes today so they are ready for use when needed. Craig said that he was considering having Derik harvest them while they waited for the weather to be conducive to fall work on the farm to give him something to do and that Carol was planning to process the grapes to grape juice.
8:48 a.m. - Craig departed. Breakfast (1 slice whole wheat toast with butter and apricot jam, 1 hard boiled egg with Mrs. Dash seasoning).
8:50 a.m. - Craig returned to ask where the smoke detectors were as he had been told that they were not in place and needed set up. Dusty confirmed that they had been installed - the hybrid carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen living room above the main thermometer, one of the standard model smoke detectors is in the entry hallway above the phone stand, one standard model smoke detector is in the laundry room above door frame, and the fire extinguisher was stored under the kitchen sink until Dusty can get appropriate bolts and wall anchors to attach it to the hallway wall (a central location between the kitchen and the laundry room) as none came with the extinguisher.
~9:30 a.m. - Breakfast finished. Joyce declined bathroom trip. Joyce perused the Lakeside Collection magazine that came in the mail for her. Dusty updated her on what what was going on in his office on campus and the girls' troop meeting last night when she asked what he did during his evening. Joyce was pleased to hear that two girls had reached Tenderfoot rank and were fast on their way toward achieving Second Class rank. Joyce stated she was sleepy and proceeded to nap.
10:47 a.m. - Joyce roused for bathroom trip. Joyce soiled herself enroute to bathroom in entryway hall. Dusty assisted with cleaning Joyce up, minor struggle (Joyce's motor control skills/sleepiness hampered diaper removal process and lead to larger mess). Joyce passed remainder of Type 6 bowel movement once seated on toilet and Dusty talked through her feelings and disappointment at soiling herself. Joyce was showered and changed into clean clothes. Weight 161.6 lbs. Joyce was returned to recliner ~11:50 a.m. Dusty took out bathroom trash after sanitizing toilet riser, bathroom floor, bathroom garbage cans, and hallway floor.
12:04 p.m. - Vitals taken. BP 135/71, pulse 81. BGL @ 129. Joyce directed to put oxygen line back into place after she took it off entirely.
12:17 p.m. - Lunch (tuna sandwich, sugar-free Jell-O gelatin cup). 2 Tylenol for pain relief. Joyce lamented being given food. Joyce attempted to negotiate not eating. Dusty informed her she needed to eat before arrival of Kindred nurse. Joyce capitulated but did not begin eating in earnest until ~12:36 p.m. after repeated prompting.
1:29 p.m. - Carole (Kindred nurse) arrived. Care log and medication reviewed. Vitals taken. Confirmed PT is still coming out to work with her. Dusty provided her a summary of what Jay shared as their last plan for visiting (Marshall coming for a re-assessment of Joyce and Jay back again sometime next week). Carole confirmed that Joyce will continue having Kindred services through November 12 at the least and if it is determined that Joyce needs more then they would work to extend out the scheduling. Carole departed ~1:47 p.m.
Lidocaine patch applied to Joyce's back, Tiger Balm patch applied to left knee.
Gritman medical center's billing department called the farmhouse landline during Carole's visit stating that Joyce had a balance owed and a paper bill had been sent to Joyce's mailing address in September. Gritman is re-sending the bill to be paid.
1:49 p.m. - Derik arrived to use the farmhouse bathroom, departing soon afterward.
2:21 p.m. - Marshall (Kindred PT) called Dusty's cellphone to notify him that he plans to arrive tomorrow to do a re-assessment ~11:30 a.m. or noon on Joyce.
3:15 p.m. - First load of sanitized grape juice jars and jar rings came out of the dishwasher. Joyce woke from napping and demanded to know what Dusty was doing in her kitchen (thinking he was getting rid of her things). Joyce saw that Dusty was handling canning jars and became concerned that he was washing them to get rid of them. Dusty explained that he was preparing for making grape juice this fall, cleaning and sanitizing the needed equipment and supplies so they are ready for use and isn't getting rid of them (Jess and Dusty had gotten rid of the chipped and broken jars months ago when preparing the farmhouse for Joyce's return). Joyce calmed somewhat, asking if he'd brought in the grapes already from the garden and she had just slept through that activity occuring. Dusty explained that had not been done yet as he was just staging things for now. Joyce settled and returned to napping.
3:50 p.m. - Bathroom trip. Urinary incontinence requiring change of skirt, diaper, and diaper pad insert. Joyce returned to her recliner ~4:05 p.m.
Dusty set next load of grape juice jars to sterilize in dishwasher, departing farmhouse ~4:40 p.m. and will return tomorrow ~8 a.m. Derik on-site out in main shop working on cleaning out Craig's pickup truck. Carol arriving to care for Joyce ~5:30 p.m.

Joyce kept removing her oxygen line throughout the day and continued to roll forward into ball-like position to nap even when laid out in recliner but cited no pain experienced, "just more comfortable for [her]."
