October 26, 2020 Addendum
Dusty took out farm's recycling and trash. Dusty picked up supplies for farm from Wal-Mart (toilet tissue, nutritional shakes, "C" batteries, bananas, pancake mix, kleenex, low-sodium V8, sweet potato, coffee for Craig).

October 27, 2020
7:45 a.m. - Dusty arrived to find Joyce in the hallway outside the bathroom, sitting on her walker. Joyce stated that she had been sitting there for hours, having "taken herself to the bathroom ~5 a.m. or there about." Joyce unable to walk under her own power. Joyce had turned on the bathroom space heater and directed at herself for some warmth while she sat on her walker. Dusty wheeled her out to kitchen and helped her transition to her recliner. Joyce reported "terrible leg pain" in her left leg and that it was non-functional. Dusty stretched out Joyce in her recliner in the hopes that it was just asleep from lack of blood flow related to how she was seated at an angle on her walker.
8:37 a.m. - Replaced batteries in blood pressure cuff. Vitals taken. BP 147/78, pulse 73. Joyce reported that she was very tired, having sat on her walker so long and gotten chilled out in the hallway.
8:45 a.m. - Compression stockings removed. Breakfast served (mini pancakes with maple syrup and banana slices).
8:50 a.m. - Joyce stated she was in too much pain to eat (left leg throbbing), breakfast set aside. Joyce began napping.
9:30 a.m. - Joyce refused breakfast. Resumed sleeping.
9:45 a.m. - Joyce refused breakfast. Joyce refused bathroom trip. Resumed sleeping.
Joyce ate her breakfast while Dusty was running a 1.5 hour training with UI College of Natural Resources personnel in the other room. Dusty discovered Joyce was not wearing her oxygen line and was quite disoriented. Dusty worked on breathing exercises with Joyce to try and get her coherent. Joyce reporting her left leg is still not feeling well, feeling "funny."
11:38 a.m. - Bathroom trip. Joyce had extreme difficulty standing up from her recliner and walking to bathroom using her walker. Joyce passed urine and bowel movement (Type 5). Joyce could not rise up off of toilet on her own, reporting left leg non-functional and numb. Joyce had difficulty standing at sink to wash her hands. Joyce unable to walk under her own power to kitchen, requiring her to be seated on walker and wheeled out to kitchen ~Noon. Joyce unable to rise up off of walker to transition to recliner and Dusty unable to assist her without causing additional pain. Joyce reporting numbness in left leg changed to tingly throbbing.
12:13 p.m. - Dusty discovered Joyce had not taken her morning medication (hiding Dixie cup on her lower shelves beside her chair). Joyce given morning medication to take with a snack of 1/2 banana and nutritional shake while she sat on her walker.
12:35 p.m. - Joyce was able to transition to blue chair in kitchen with Dusty's help.
1:45 p.m. - Joyce declined lunch. Dusty negotiated a "light" lunch/snack.
1:50 p.m. - Lunch (1/2 Nutella sandwich with banana slices).
2:30 p.m. - Joyce declined bathroom trip, informed Dusty her left leg still hurts but does not hurt if she does not move it. Joyce slept as Dusty responded to phone calls and work orders from the university in the other room.
3:35 p.m. - Bathroom trip. Joyce able to stand and walk under her own power, though with difficulty. Urine passed. Returned to blue chair ~3:50 p.m. Joyce requested to color as she "needed something to do."
~4:30 p.m. - Connie arrived to farmhouse. Reviewed Jess' schedule for November and abilities to cover morning care time block of Joyce. Confirmed Connie's schedule and put both on the Joyce Care Plan calendar in the hallway.
4:53 p.m. - Jay (Kindred PT) called Dusty's cellphone to confirm he will be arriving tomorrow between 11:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. to work with Joyce. Dusty called Jay back to inform him that would not work due to schedule conflict. Jay will re-reschedule for Friday and will call Dusty tomorrow to confirm time of arrival.
Dusty departing ~5:45 p.m. after finishing clean-up of kitchen and putting away canned grape juice, returning tomorrow ~8 a.m.
