General Update #161

Joyce requested Dusty remove the Lidocaine patch from her back, stating that it had been on for 24 hours. Dusty reminded Joyce they just put it on at 8 a.m. Joyce then stated that she had thought it has been on 24 hours and then changed her mind when Dusty asked if it was bothering her and if she wanted it removed. She stated that it could be left if they just put it on at 8 a.m. today.

Bathroom trip made ~2:15 p.m. Joyce had an issue with urinary incontinence, insert pad appeared to have caught it all. Joyce requested to leave diaper on and only replace the soiled pad with a new one. Joyce able to clean herself and make all transitions unassisted. Joyce declined application of barrier cream on this trip.

Joyce requested Lidocaine patch be removed at 2:29 p.m. when Dusty changed her shirt. Dusty removed it as she stated she was "done with it."

Dusty trimmed Joyce's fingernails, vacuumed the kitchen carpet, took out the bathroom trash, placed a prescription re-order for Metformin with the Walmart pharmacy, and worked through half of the OT plan for today with Joyce (pulley based exercises). Dusty set evening medications out evening medication for Joyce in Dixie cup next to her banana stand on the kitchen counter for Connie to give to Joyce with evening meal.

Joyce's blood pressure was 160/91, pulse 77 at 3:17 p.m.

Joyce requested to go to the bathroom at ~3:31 p.m. Minor urinary incontinence, caught entirely by her insert pad in the diaper. Switched pads out. Applied fresh barrier cream to afflicted areas on buttocks and inner thigh region. Joyce had no issues seating/standing from toilet riser and moved around using walker extremely well compared to last few days (even earlier today). Joyce returned to recliner fine and settled her oxygen lines with minor reminders from Dusty. 

Dusty departing farmhouse ~4 p.m. for the day and will return ~8 a.m. tomorrow.
