General Update #265 - Sunday, January 3, 2021 (Updated)
Dusty arrived to farmhouse ~8:25 a.m., finding Joyce asleep in her recliner without oxygen line in place. Joyce had turned off all lights in the farmhouse at some point after Dusty departed last night. Evidence Joyce had taken herself to the bathroom at least once since Dusty departed farmhouse last night, early bladder release issue discovered. Dusty cleaned up mess in bathroom and sanitized floor and toilet seat riser.
8:29 a.m. - BP 168/77, pulse 69. BGL @ 128.
8:35 a.m. - Bathroom trip. Urinary incontinence, diaper pad insert replaced. Remainder of urine passed. Preparation H applied.
PT walk to living room with difficulty, frequent stops made.
8:52 a.m. - Breakfast (1 slice of whole wheat toast with butter and apricot jam, peaches, nutritional shake). Morning medication administered. Breakfast finished by 9:09 a.m. Joyce began napping.
Joyce woke herself ~10 a.m. and wished Dusty a "good morning," then resumed sleeping.
10:30 a.m. - Bathroom trip declined. Joyce resumed napping.
10:44 a.m. - Dusty assisted Joyce with reclining back into a prone position in her recliner.
11:56 a.m. - Bathroom. Urinary incontinence. Early bladder release. Mess cleaned up. Diaper and diaper pad insert replaced. Remainder of urine passed. Preparation H applied. PT walk to living room with difficulty. Returned to recliner by 12:15 p.m.
12:34 p.m. - Lunch (Grilled chicken strips, broccoli florets with cheese sauce, V8 juice). 2 Tylenol. Lunch finished ~1 p.m., napping resumed.
3:05 p.m. - Bathroom. Urinary incontinence. Diaper and diaper pad insert replaced. Remainder of urine and type 1 bowel movement passed with difficulty. Joyce requested assistance in "passing" her bowel movement. Dusty worked with her on verbal directions but Joyce struggled to successfully pass half-passed stool. Dusty made several attempts to help clean Joyce but she continued to pass stool during cleanup process. Miralax given to Joyce to help soften stool. Joyce created a large mess in attempting to self clean at one point while Dusty was preparing showering kit, fresh clothes, and sanitized Joyce's shoes. Floor and toilet seat riser sanitized. Joyce became agitated, had difficulty communicating at all verbally at one point and could not form complete sentences. Hemorrhoids agitated and bleeding once more, healing progress from previous days has been undone. Joyce declined being showered. Joyce changed into fresh skirt. Joyce unable to walk/having difficulty moving using her left leg. Dusty moved Joyce onto her walker and rolled her out to kitchen. Joyce transitioned to recliner ~6 p.m.
6:10 p.m. - Evening medication with nutritional shake.
6:30 p.m. - Dinner (grilled peanut butter sandwich, whole banana).
6:45 p.m. - Craig stopped by to visit Joyce and verify which morning of the coming week he is covering when Jess is not available.
7:06 p.m. - Bathroom. Urinary incontinence. Remainder of urine passed. Bowel movement (type 1) passed with difficulty, continued constipation issues. Joyce made a mess attempting to self-clean. Dusty cleaned up bathroom and re-sanitized toilet seat riser, sink, and floor. Joyce returned to recliner under her own power ~7:32 p.m. Began sleeping.
9 p.m. - Bathroom trip declined. Returned to sleeping.
9:30 p.m. - Bathroom trip declined. Returned to sleeping.
10 p.m. - Bathroom trip declined. Made ready for bed.

Joyce continually removed her oxygen line throughout the day.
Joyce commented about several items in her living room that she wanted to ensure the family knows about and does not just toss "after she is gone" as she was concerned that might happen "if people don't know the significance." The cream pitcher in her living room belonged to Dora Otter Fleener and was given to Joyce at some point prior to Dora's passing. The decorative piece under the glass of the table that Phillip built was purchased by Craig for her when he traveled through Europe when he was a teenager - Joyce thought that Craig should get it back along with the cuckoo clock he also had shipped back from his trip to Europe for her.
