9 a.m. - Jess arrived to farmhouse. Craig informed Jess outside before she went in that Joyce was up and had already been to the bathroom. Joyce did not have her oxygen line on and could not seem to keep it in overnight. Jess found Joyce awake, curled forward in her recliner without her oxygen line in place.
9:14 a.m. - BP 145/89, pulse 83. BGL @ 110.
9:18 a.m. - Morning medication and 1/2 of nutritional shake.
9:28 a.m. - Lidocaine patch applied to Joyce's back.
9:45 a.m. - Breakfast (3 small pancakes with butter and syrup). Joyce finished breakfast at 10:12 a.m.
10:33 a.m. - Bathroom. Joyce was dry but there was dried fecal matter in her diaper. New diaper and diaper pad insert provided. Urine and Type 6 bowel movement passed. Joyce returned to recliner and compression stockings were removed. Wool socks put onto Joyce.
11 a.m. - Joyce settled down to nap until Dusty arrives at farmhouse, Jess departs.
~12:17 p.m. - Dusty arrives to farmhouse finding Joyce stretched out in her recliner asleep with oxygen line in place.
12:40 p.m. - Lunch served (small bowl of clam chowder, 1/2 banana, leftover toast with honey butter from yesterday's lunch). Joyce refused to eat and set her tray aside on the counter. When Dusty asked Joyce why she was not eating Joyce remained silent and did not respond. Dusty emptied dishwasher and took out full trash bag in hallway.
12:57 p.m. - Bathroom. Minor urinary incontinence requiring diaper pad insert change. Urine and Type 6 bowel movement passed. Weight at 159 lbs. PT walk declined. Joyce opted to sit in the blue chair in the living room ~1:13 p.m.
Joyce continued to refuse to eat her lunch, not responding to Dusty's prompts. Joyce refused to eat up until shortly before Dusty departed to return to work on campus at which point Joyce complained that she had been given cold food and so could not eat it. Clam chowder was reheated in microwave and Dusty left it with her to pick at (toast and banana were untouched at time of departure, Joyce stating that she would not eat them until she ate her chowder first). Joyce had eaten ~3 spoons worth of chowder between 12:40 p.m. to time dusty departed farmhouse ~1:45 p.m.
Connie arriving to provide evening care for Joyce ~4 p.m.
