General Update #26

Joyce was moved to Room 202 by Gritman staff prior to Dusty's arrival at 7:30 a.m. as she was the only patient in the east wing and the weekend staff thought it would be better to have her closer to the main nurse's station (west wing). Joyce's room is now almost opposite the main nurse's station. Joyce was showered prior to the room move, a combination of Joyce washing herself and having the nurses assist. It was a hurried shower according to Joyce. Joyce does not believe that she had a bowel movement after Dusty left her bedside last night. Joyce not aware if she has been given any pain medication so far this morning. Patient information board did not have all information transferred successfully from 226, so Dusty is unsure if plans have changed or if overnight/morning team that facilitated the move didn't transfer the information. Dusty took picture of information board from room 226 yesterday and will discuss with staff when they arrive. Joyce reported another bout of nausea and vomiting sometime after Dusty had left Gritman. Joyce states she currently feels like she is nauseated and could have vomiting this morning. Joyce stated that room service had not yet been around to have her breakfast order taken. Joyce is currently sitting upright in her recliner, dozing, with oxygen levels at 94%.

8:05 a.m. - Dusty found Nurse's Aide, Kandi, and Kandi said that she would send nurse (Becky) over to provide an update on what has been happening with Joyce since Dusty's departure from Gritman last night.

Message(s) from Joyce:
"Good morning."

Current location:
Gritman Medical Center, Room 202.

Current pain level:
5 out of 10 on the back as of 7:56 a.m. ("Right in my back," says Joyce.)

Visiting information:
No change from previous post. (Awaiting updated information from morning shift leader.)

Confirmed with nurse's station shift leader at 9:30 a.m. (on 6/5/2020) - currently only 1 visitor per day for Joyce, no exceptions. Once current visitor departs Joyce's room, no further visits for the rest of the day. No swapping out visitors (example, Dusty cannot remain on hospital grounds while Craig goes to sit with Joyce for an hour and then Dusty returns to room).
