General Update #75
Dusty and Jess stopped by to visit Joyce at Aspen Park around 2 p.m., apparently just missing Carol by a few moments who had just visited Joyce as well.
Joyce had a slice of meat (beef? maybe meatloaf), mashed potatoes, and veggies for her lunch. She said that after a few days the meals all start to blend together in her mind.
Joyce hasn't had physical therapy today, leading everyone to guess that maybe the PT team does not work over the weekend. Joyce stated that today her pain levels had been very low and so she had been able to nap comfortably through most of the morning post-breakfast.
Joyce has not been reading her Redwall book, nor writing anything as yet. Joyce stated that there was "weird stuff" on television, but then admitted that she hasn't really been working hard enough to look for something good across all the channels.
Dusty and Jess answered Joyce's questions about why she needs to remain at Aspen Park for so long and she agreed that it was probably for the best. She confirmed that she was committed to doing all that the PT team asks her to do in order to confirm that she can return out to the farmhouse in July.
Joyce asked why she hadn't been feeling great earlier in the week and Dusty reviewed the information about the UTI and antibiotic treatments. Joyce wanted to know how Dusty knew about the UTI and the hallucinations she had been experiencing. Dusty informed Joyce that the facility staff has kept him updated as promised. Dusty reviewed the upcoming plan for Joyce to see Dr. Keizur in Pullman which Joyce recalled had been told to her by the Aspen Park staff.
---
Pain levels were fairly low for Joyce today and have remained low into the early evening hours, leading her to hope that it will be a good night for sleeping in her recliner.
A nurse arrived to collect vitals on Joyce and so the phone call ended early, with Joyce wishing all a good night before hanging up the phone.
